After functioning correctly for 2 days, a customer's PC began returning the following error messages in the dialogue box when trying to open Thermalyze:
milAppError; Licensing error.MdispAlloc Mil requires a Matrox Imaging board or a valid license. 151 15.59.07
A Matrox Solios video board or USB license key is currently not installed and therefore Thermalyze will shut down
As well as a popup window saying:
A Matrox Solios video board or USB license key is currently not installed and therefore Thermalye will shut down.
The following steps were taken to ascertain the problem:
- Unplugging the camera and USB dongle, then plugging them back in.
- No change in behavior
- Plugging in the IS640-17 Camera to a different USB port
- This was repeated 10 times. One of these times, Thermalyze began to behave normally, but the previous errors persisted after restarting the computer. This was not able to be replicated.
- Determined that all Ports and USB controllers in device manager were present and working normally.
- Reinstalled all Matrox, NI, and Optotherm software.
- No change in behavior.
- Plugging the USB dongle into a PC that is known to work. (system 2)
- Thermalyze was able to start and function normally on system 2.
