Thermalyze Offline Software

Thermalyze Offline is used to perform post-analysis of data on remote computers and to allow colleagues to view and analyze data on their own computers.  Thermalyze offline software provides the same image analysis and file saving capabilities as the full version of Thermalyze.  The offline version however, does not have the ability to capture real-time thermal images from an InfraSight camera and therefore cannot perform real-time analyses.

High Accuracy Calibration

OptoTherm InfraSight thermal imaging cameras can be calibrated to provide accuracy of +/-0.5°C with temperature measurement bands of 50°C, for example from 20 to 70°C.

Infrared Camera Positioning Arm with Universal Mount

The infrared camera positioning arm allows thermal imagers to be quickly placed at any position within the arm’s range.  The arm can be positioned within a 28” radius from mount and at a height of 2-24” using one extender tube (8-30” height using two extender tubes).  Thermal imagers attach with one 1/4"-20 thumbscrew.

Thermal imagers can be positioned directly downward or it can be rotated on the bracket to enable sideways or upward viewing.

The universal mount at the base of the arm can be mounted in the following configurations:

  • Desk edge clamp mount

  • Through desk mount

  • Wall mount

Infrared Camera Stands

The standard and large infrared camera stands allow you to adjust the vertical position of the camera and lock it in place.  They also provide a stable platform on which to place or mount the unit under test.  The platform is a wood composite and can be easily machined to mount custom fixtures.

A metric scale on the vertical post of each stand allows you to accurately position thermal imagers to a previously recorded height in order to perform repeatable tests.  Thermal imagers may be rotated on the camera mounting pad to enable sideways or angular operation.

The standard infrared camera stand is 27.5” tall and has a platform that is 16.5”x15.5”x1.125” thick.  The large infrared camera stand is 44” tall and has a platform that is 27”x24”x1.125” thick.  Thermal imagers attach with one 1/4"-20 thumbscrew.

Focus and Pan Stage

This rack and pinion stage mounts between the infrared camera and camera mounting device (stand, tripod, positioning arm).  It enables thermal imagers to be precisely positioned in the x (30 mm travel), y (35mm travel), and z (32 mm travel) directions.  It is particularly useful when using the 35°(H)x50°(V) lens at close focus distances to zoom in on small targets.  Thermal imagers attach with one 1/4"-20 thumbscrew.

Heavy Duty Tripod

Engineered for use with thermal imaging cameras, this heavy-duty tripod features a deluxe fluid two-way panhead with a versatile handle design.  The sure-grip control handle can be set in any one of four positions for maximum control.  This tripod has an auto lock system with a camera-safe side-mount quick-release platform and a retractable camera alignment pin for convenient tripod setup.

The radial leg braces allow for maximum stability, while the three-section 27- millimeter tubular aluminum legs contribute to overall sturdiness.  The legs also feature quick side-lever leg locks for easy leg adjustments, steel ground spikes with adjustable rubber tips for no-slip setups, and a titanium bronze-and-black finish.  The maximum extended height is approximately 5.5 feet.

Circuit Board Fixtures

Circuit board fixtures allow you to precisely position circuit boards in order to perform Model Board Comparison tests.  Fixtures have two adjustable rails and two adjustable feet.  Threaded locking knobs on the ends of the rails and feet enable you securely lock them at any position along the frame.

Circuit board support edges on the rails and feet are 0.062” wide and a 0.062” deep step cut allows connectors to overhang the board edge up to 3/8”.  The rails and feet can be removed to accommodate larger boards. Rails have spring action hold-down clamps that can be positioned anywhere along the length of the rails and will accommodate board thicknesses of 0.031”-0.093”.  Ruler tape, mounted on the inside of the frame, provides a reference used to record the position of the rails and feet.

PCBA Fixture Sizes

The standard PCBA fixture can accommodate circuit boards up to 6.75”x12”.  The outer dimensions of the fixture measure 11”x16”.  The large PCBA fixture can accommodate boards up to 12.5”x16”.  The outer dimensions of the fixture measure 17”x20”.

PCBA Fixture Composition

Fixtures are composed of static safe epoxy resin composites with polyester and glass fill.  One-piece construction eliminates seams and loosening.  All fixture hardware is made from stainless steel.  The composite material has excellent chemical resistance to common materials and cleaning chemicals found in the PCB assembly industry, and can withstand temperatures up to 300°C.  Due to the low thermal conductivity of the composites material, solder will not stick to the fixtures.

PCBA Fixture Mounting Blocks

Plastic mounting blocks can be fixed onto a camera stand base or table surface using double-sided adhesive tape to rigidly position a PCBA fixture.  Each corner of the fixture sits securely into one of the mounting blocks allowing quick installation and removal of fixtures that have been preconfigured for specific board sizes.

Laptop Interface Module

The laptop interface module enables InfraSight cameras to be used with laptop computers.  The Camera Link PCI computer board installs in the module and the module connects to the laptops via the CardBus or PCI Express card slot.
